Deliverability

Return-Path

The Return-Path is the email address that receives bounce notifications when a message cannot be delivered.

Every email has a Return-Path header, also known as the envelope sender, which is used by mail servers to report delivery failures. When an email bounces, the server sends a non-delivery report to this address. Properly configuring the Return-Path helps senders monitor bounce rates and maintain list hygiene, which is critical for good deliverability.
